All the Big Life Changes
Why yes, I am still alive. And I do still blog. This past year has been crazy. CRAZY. I have so much to tell you guys, like my new job (All the details are over here on this blog but go check out Huddlewoo on Twitter & Facebook)
One of the biggest reasons I haven’t been blogging is because I wanted to make sure I’ve talked everything out with my Dad before putting it out on the interwebs. I’m really close with my Dad, in case you haven’t noticed. Anyway, now that he knows all the things, I guess it’s time to let the cats out of the bag.
I’M MOVING…
TO SEATTLE…
IN NOVEMBER.
This is huge for so many reasons. Since we moved to the US 17 years ago (in December), I’ve lived in the DC area. It’s home to me. Even when I moved out of my parents’ house, I just moved into the city I knew and loved. For those that have been aware, I’ve visited Seattle a few times in the last couple of years. I’ve been wanting to move out to the west coast for a couple of years now and everything came together for that to happen now.
It’s exciting and scary at the same time. I’m completely stepping out of my comfort zone. COMPLETELY. I have friends and professional connections out there, but it’s still the first time I’ve uprooted my life since I was 10 and we moved here from Turkey. I’m excited to explore a new city and find out if I can really make it on my own – personally and professionally.
Oh, and did I mention I’ll be driving cross-country for the move?
Seriously guys, I am feeling ALL THE EMOTIONS lately.
The reason I’m waiting until November is because this is the first election after I’ve become a US Citizen, which means I can finally vote. I didn’t want my first vote to be an absentee vote, so I will be at the polls on election day in VA!
Like I said, ALL THE BIG LIFE CHANGES.
So, if you’re in Seattle or know people in Seattle, holla and let’s connect.
If you’re in DC, let’s try to get together before I leave! But you know I’ll be visiting whenever I can.
There’s a ton more stuff to tell you guys, but I have to cut this blog short for now.
Tell me, what have YOU been up to? I’ve been such a bad friend to everyone lately. I want to know all the things!

This isn’t the only reason I’ve been so quiet the past few months. Some of you may have noticed lately that I haven’t been talking about wedding plans. A & I will be going our separate ways when I move out to Seattle. It’s been an emotional journey for the past few months, and at the end of the day, this is what’s best for both of us. I don’t want to go into details but let’s just say it’s been one of the hardest, decisions I’ve made so far in my life.

So much news in one post! Although it’s still yet to happen, welcome to Seattle – you’re going to love it here. If you have any questions about the city or surrounding areas (not sure which one you’re coming to) feel free to message me.

Thank you so much! I’m staying with a friend while I look for a place so I’m sure I’ll have lots of questions.
