Springtime Pictures (& A Giveaway)

I love my digital camera and I have hundreds of pictures I download from it on a regular basis. Not many make it to the public eye but I love the ability to take pictures whenever I want, and go back to it at a later date.

The problem with digital pictures is that I get too lazy to print them. I no longer have picture albums except for the ones on my computer.

When Andrew & I got engaged, I had to start thinking about the announcements, the save the date cards and eventually the invitation.  It wasn’t until we got engaged that I realized there are no pictures of us in a frame except for the one I printed last summer.

This is where Shutterfly comes in handy because I don’t have time to sit at my computer and try to figure out the best way to print my pictures so I won’t be wasting precious paper & ink. (I may have done so over the summer).  With their photo books, it’s easy to have my favorite pictures and memories in one place.

Our big announcement this winter/spring has been the engagement & the fact that we finally picked a wedding date.  It’s funny because a lot of people are surprised when they hear the date & I have to explain why.  The day itself doesn’t have a significance, it’s just a weekend in May.  It’s the year (2013) that throws people off.

Since I love Shutterfly so much, I get to give one of my lucky readers an 8″ X 8″ photobook!

Deadline for entries: Midnight, April 19

Oooh very cool! It hasn’t been said enough – CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN!! I love big news like that 🙂

My favorite springtime tradition is definitely the cherry blossoms – I’m a DC guy at heart, I love it. And my last big announcement? That would probably be an announcement of a great result at a Dance Competition in late February. I was pretty excited to share that with people.

Congratulations!!! My last big announcement was the same. My hunny and I are engaged, though we haven’t picked a date yet. My spring time tradition is going for a hike on Good Friday, where this year we will be checking out some potential wedding locations.

Yay, congratulations!! Our last big announcement was a giant thank you after the wedding (and the Weddingbells competition)… definitely used Shutterfly to print our thank-you cards!

Congrats! 🙂 My last big announcement was that I was moving to Germany. As for spring time tradition it usually involves planting lots of colourful flowers.

i love love love shutterfly! we do our christmas cards from them every year AND i made a super cute photo album for my friend as a wedding present of all her pre-wedding events (showers, bachelorette, etc) and it was easy and still looked professional/fancy.

Congratulations on your engagement and on setting the date! I feel like things get much more exciting when the date is settled.

My favorite springtime tradition is going for walks around my neighborhood – the warm weather is an excuse to get out and exercise. My last big announcement wasn’t huge in comparison to engagements and weddings, but it was when I told my family and friends about my new relationship. Still a fun announcement to make, though! 🙂
