It’s nothing fancy, really. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, and when I started college in 03, I discovered LiveJournal. I wouldn’t call the things that were in my LJ blogging – at all. But it was my start to writing online. Then I started playing around with a free site on Tripod.com and that was really the first time I started blogging.
My early 20s were rough, and I spent a lot of time avoiding things, which meant I made awful choices – and documented every single one of those choices. Good times. I’m sure they’re still floating around somewhere on the internet but they have no association to my real name. (Didn’t make it any less real).
I met some of my best friends via blogging, and I’ve started to build a community with my blog since I launched my own site back in 2008. But that was still under a pen name. It wasn’t until this past year, after I lost my job and realized what I really want to do is follow my dreams, that I ‘came out’ with my real name.
Which brings us to here, now, the new website.
The blogging isn’t going to change, at all. But it was time to take my brand to an official level, which is why I had a professional logo designed, implementing it for both this blog and the PQ Productions page.
I’ve been spending a lot of time doing writing for others, staying in the background.
It’s time for that to change.
How? I’m not 100% sure yet but hope you’ll continue to be with me on the journey.
I stepped from Plank to Plank
A slow and cautious way
The Stars about my Head I felt
About my Feet the Sea
I knew not but the next
Would be my final inch—
This gave me that precious Gait
Some call Experience.

Hello there,
I like your blog! Love it in fact! I as well just recently switched over to a new blog to broaden my blogging to a professional level. I’ve been blogging for years too. I’d love to do a guest post for you on whatever, and I’d love to invite you to guest post on my site as well. I’m – http://www.myravingrants.com
Look forward to seeing what you do with this blog in the future.

I’ll always follow you. I may not always seem present, but it doesn’t mean I’m not here.

*raises hand* I’ve never written on LiveJournal. I made an account there to comment on someone’s blog that I was actively reading, but I didn’t even know it existed until a couple years ago.

Today I’m great! I’m feeling cheerful and happy, which is rare for me in the mornings.
You played a huge part in my blogging story. You inspired me on Myspace where I fell in love with you as a friend, and you helped me take my first steps into the real world of blogging (read: outside Myspace). Thank you for all your inspiration, help, and friendship.

I started writing on LJ too (in 2001)! It was such a great space & it’s also what got me interested in writing online/starting a “real” blog. However, reading my entries from my early 20’s are positively cringe inducing.

I’ve got nothing to say, but it’s okay.
I really enjoyed reading your poem! You should write some more ideas that are straight from your heart! You seem to have a great flair for writing!!!
