Since moving in to my new apartment, I’ve been looking for ways to make it a happy place. It’s where I work and live, and everything about it represents a fresh start. It needs to be my happy place, and it happens to be perfect timing that Michelle from Cynical Redhead Creations opened up a brand new shop today. With more awesome stuff. Not only is her creations adorable and refreshing, why she opened this shop is even more awesome.
In her own words, on Find A Happy Place:
“When I was a therapist, I primarily worked in existential therapy. I like that existential therapy puts the responsibility for happiness on the individual and the choices we make. We are each responsible for finding our own ways to be happy daily. I have always felt that we can surround ourselves with little things that make us feel better. I try to make things that make me feel good, just looking at them, and I enjoy making them available to others.
I want this shop to have a community feeling, and I want to use pictures of customers wearing my things whenever possible. Few things make me happier than receiving pictures of someone wearing what I make.
It bothers me how much women seem to compete with each other and tear each other apart when we should really be supporting each other. I hope to use pics of women of all shapes, sizes and ages and celebrate their unique beauty, and I always go out of my way to make things that can be enjoyed by pretty much anyone. “
I mean, how phenomenal is she?
To celebrate her brand new shop opening, we will be giving away over $50 worth of items from her shop! I mean, come on. You can’t pass this up!
