Networking from my couch – Blogging & Washington, D.C.

I’m a social creature. Living in Washington, D.C., there is a networking event to attend at least once a week.  It’s a great way to meet new people, and catch up with others.

It can get a little overwhelming, when there are 2-3 events in one night and my FOMO kicks in, which can take the fun out of attending events.

Which is why I love being able to attend a networking event from my couch. Without having to dress up or brave the metro to get my networking on. (And no, I’m not just talking about Twitter!)

There are two amazing events I will be attending this week, and I want to make sure you don’t miss out!

When I first started out as a blogger, everything I learned was through trial-and-error. I have been blogging for years but moving to my own domain was a game changer because the blog-o-sphere just became infinite. It can be daunting but the great thing is that there are a ton of bloggers out there who have been in the same exact spot as you: In the beginning.

And they want to help.

In fact, a bunch of these amazing bloggers are going to be mentoring you for an hour, ready to answer your questions.  They’re located all over the map but this Tuesday, they will all be in ONE place to meet you.(Meet the bloggers here)

How can you miss out on an event like this?! So take your blogging butt over to Brazen and RSVP for the Blogging Mentor event.

This Thursday, February 10, there is a Washington, DC Speed Networking event on Brazen Careerist. (Haven’t signed up for Brazen Careerist yet? You are missing out on some amazing discussions on a daily basis!)

As Ryan Healy said when Network Roulette was launched:

… networking is hard, time-consuming and scary. Today, we’re launching Network Roulette to help make the networking process easy, fast, and most importantly, fun. (And maybe we can even prevent a few unnecessary cases of bronchitis in the process.)

…A dead simple online speed networking service that helps you build a network in your pajamas or from your cubicle, and lets you have fun while you’re doing it.

So what are you waiting for? Let’s network!

If you have any questions about Brazen, you can hit me up on Twitter or message me on Brazen Careerist.
